An exciting opening has arisen in our Ethiopia programme for a Finance Officer who will manage the day-to-day and monthly finance activities of the Addis Ababa office for Tearfund and be involved in the capacity building of Tearfund partner organisations.
The preferred candidate for the role would have experience in accounting and accurate financial management particularly from an INGO context, monitor compliance with financial procedures and donor regulations and the ability to review internal control systems and make recommendations. The successful candidate will have experience in compiling donor reports and have the ability to develop and monitor programme budgets.
Tearfund are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem solving skills, a good command of the English language, experience in working with financial software and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

JOB OVERVIEW
As part of the Ethiopia Team, the Financial and Administrative Officer provides support to the Ethiopia office, ensuring financial and administrative functions are executed in a timely and professional manner and that procedures and systems for financial management and control are in compliance with Tearfund policies, systems and donor requirements.

The Finance, Compliance and Administration Manager remains responsible for the overall relationship with each individual agreed Partner, and for the approval of proposals, allocation and disbursement of funds out of the programme budget
