Project Manager (PM), under direct supervision of program Manager is fully responsible for successful implementation of an individual project. PjM is responsible to achieve the specific results in the field in proper quality and time. Project Manager works under supervision of a Program manager and with close cooperation HR, Financial & Logistic dept. and other PjMs working under the same program.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful implementation of the project. This will include managing the entire components of the project and required deliverables/outcomes, ensuring both technical and management requirements are met, and managing relevant government /stakeholder and donor liaison requirements.
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that key organizational principles and approaches, such as sound M&E system, CRM and gender mainstream etc are well integrated throughout the project cycle; for ensuring that lessons derived through implementation of projects are well articulated, documented and disseminated both internally and externally.
o Makes sure that project is implemented as per the project document, time plan and other relevant documents
o Makes sure that the implemented activities are coordinated with partners
o Follows all internal procedures for project implementation, procurements, etc.
o Reports to relevant program manager
o Supervises and manages the project team
o Collects the data from implementation
o Monitoring the overall development of the situation in affected areas and suggest the way forward
Main responsibilities:
o Ensure the implementation of the project is done in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the donor;
o Providing support to the Program Manager and consortium coordinator in all aspect of implementing PIN and partners’ intervention in AA.
o Coordinate & facilitate fair selection of beneficiaries and ensure entire satisfaction of them on the support
o Experience working with BOFED, TVET Bureau and TVET Colleges
o Ensure implementation and maintaining quality and consistency of technical standards /Norms/ of TVET trainings.
o Successful implementation of all stages of the project’s cycle, including M&E, budget and procurement management.
o Adhering to PIN, government and donors’ policies.
o Internal and external reporting
o Ensure an excellent working relationship with partners, local government and communities
o Coordinate and build the capacity of field coordinator and/or officers
o Minimum BA degree or further qualification in International development, Economics, sociology, TVET Education, etc.;
o Minimum 4 years’ experience in project management
o Experience in TVET sector , value chain and livelihood is advantageous
o Experience of managing teams, strong coordination skills
o Strong experience with PCM, ability to meet deadlines
o Excellent written communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
o Strong organizational and project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
o Excellent knowledge of spoken & written Amharic and English.
