ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a highly experienced individual for the position of Finance Officer II who will be responsible for the overall Financial Management of the Programme Office. Other responsibilities comprise management & monitoring of monthly expenditure against budget, and liaison with logistics to ensure proper completion and management of GOAL Ethiopia’s asset registers.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced and highly motivated Finance Officer II functionally reporting to Head Office Finance Team for technical guidance, follow up and reporting purpose however s/he still will be under the direct management of the Programme Manager.
· BA/Diploma in Accounting or related field with 2/4 years’ experience in Finance in an NGO environment.
Key qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered necessary for the specific post which are believed to be key to the success of the job holder in the specific post):
· Very good application of SAGE and BMT.
· High level of accuracy, attention to details.
· Ability to deliver task on deadline.
· Very good knowledge and application of MS-Office, especially Excel.
· Good English communication skill (written and spoken).
· Experience and knowledge of USAID, OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid and UNOCHA. Irish Aid, etc. fund management.
· Team oriented, flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities,
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences:
· ACCA qualified.
· Knowledge and application of advanced excel.
· Knowledge and application of other accounting software package, Peachtree, SUN, etc.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary Birr 10,460.00/month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance: 30% of monthly salary.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
