Develop and adapt IMC IYCF/ECD materials to the local context based on the previous materials & current child rearing practices & needs
Implement and adapt relevantECD tools to measure ECD/IYCFoutcomes integrated CMAM(e.g. mother child interaction, material mood)
Assist nutrition staff& lead mothers on counsel & strengthen the ECD/IYCF project in CNC and community level.
Educateother staff about key aspects and components of ECD/IYCF(e.g. child development, improvement of mother-child intervention, community mobilization and group support focused on IYCF.
Assist in identifying target staff for ECD/IYCF training and capacity building.
Send monthly reports and updates on the ECD/IYCF activities to the IYCF/ECD coordinator in mental health and program manager
Represent IMC at mental health and psycho social coordination meetings and at camp level and other meetings as requested by IYCF/ECD coordinator or Program Manager.
Liaise with ARRA/UNHCR/UNICEF, and other non-government organization at site level pertaining to IYCF & ECD activities.
Assist in any other tasks when required
Job Requirement
Diploma in mid-wife or clinical nurse
Experience of managing a CMAM/IYCF programme or working in a counseling role related to CMAM & IYCF activities
Good understanding of SMART methodology for nutrition surveys
Experience with training of staff in CMAM and IYCF
Ability to read and interpret nutrition reports
Flexible with ability to cope with stressful situations & frustrations
Experience in leading nutritional surveys using SMART methdology
Good communication skills; oral and written with fluency in written and spoken English
