To Conduct Semi Quantitative Evaluation of Access and Coverage (SQUEAC) Survey-Nutrition

The Emergency Nutrition Response for Drought-Affected and Displaced Communities in Ethiopia that CARE Ethiopia implements, is an eight months UN-OCHA (EHF) funded project running from June 15, 2018 through to February 14, 2019. This project is responding to the nutritional needs of IDP and host communities in Oromia, Afar, and Amhara Regions, who have been affected by prolonged drought, food insecurity, and recent conflicts.
Aimed at building on the previous surveys, CARE together with Oromia DRMC, Orormia ENCU and Oromia Health Bureau intend to conduct investigation in Kurfa chelle woreda of East Hararghe Oromia region. To achieve this, the program is seeking services of an experienced consultant to lead and conduct SQUEAC Surveys aimed at establishing and documenting the level of coverage and access to nutrition intervention; The surveys will be conducted to establish the point coverage, period coverage, and single coverage and equally identify factors that hinder or promote access to treatment for severe acute malnutrition. The SQUEAC survey will be conducted to know what percent of the expected SAM and MAM cases have gotten treatment in Nutrition program (OTP, SC, and TSF), factors that support or hinder identification of SAM cases and linkage to service centers.
