GIZ promotes complex reforms and change processes.
In Ethiopia, GIZ has been working for more than 50 years in bilateral cooperation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian government and international donors. GIZ Ethiopia is looking to recruit a qualified candidate as per the details below:

Duties and responsibilities
1. Responsibilities:
The Intern will provide support both for the Programme Director and the communication and Knowledge Management Section in the day-to-day activities.
A. The incumbent has the following major responsibilities
o Assists for the development of standard information materials production for EnDev Ethiopia;
o Reviews local and international broadcasted press releases on renewable energies and suggest at least two articles to be shared per month;
o Assists in the preparation of meetings and workshops;
o Assists in organising resource centre documentation;
o Assists in coordinating success stories data for newsletters and donors’ reports;
o Contribute to documentation of program events such as meetings, events and workshops;
B. Within the context of the above-mentioned responsibilities, she/he fulfils the following specific tasks:
o Assists in preparation of project proposals, project documents and reports;
o Assists briefing materials and factsheets are prepared in a timely manner;
o Adapts and implements tools and techniques to improve data quality and use;
o Assists in preparation of EnDev EU Communication and Visibility Plan 2019;
o Ensures timely submission of assignment as per the desired standard for higher decision making;
o Updates the existing filing system of project’s publications, booklets, audios and videos for easy retrieval;
o Need based support to donor reports;
o Identifies priority activities and assignments; adjust priorities as required
o Contributes to a structured work environment;
o Administrative support to the Project Director/s;
o Takes minutes of various meetings;
o Carry out other duties that may arise during the contract period.
1. Job Requirement:
A. Qualification and Experience
o Minimum qualification requirements are University degree in communication, linguistics or other related field from accredited academic institution with 0-year work experience.
o Fluency in English, strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
o Excellent skills in the use of InDesign (Adobe Photoshop, etal)
o Excellent knowledge of office applications (MS Word, Excel, outlook Power Point)
