Introduction:
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, non-political, non-sectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
The aim of producing the pictorial IEC/BCC Materials is to inform raise awarness of the refugees and hosting communities in Pugnido camp/woreda on the available multi-sectoral GBV response services and how to access them. The Pictorial referral pathway will specifically benefit both literate and illiterate community members to understand the available GBV response services. The booklet will be targeting community structures (including community police (Shurta), Police, and other community gate keepers) to promote survivor supporting attitudes and community led actions to mitigate risks to GBV. Therefore, International Medical Corps would like to contract individual consultant or a firm that can develop creative illustrative referral pathways, and develop a booklet as per the below scope of work.
Scope of Work:
· Develop two (02) pictorial billboard size referral pathways targeting refugees and hosting communities
· Develop Two (02) Poster promoting women and girls empowerment
· Develop 32 page Booklet/comic book: targeting community Police (Shurta), police and other community structures focusing on promoting survivor supporting attitudes, Gender equality, and GBV risk mitigation)
· Visit the location-conduct focus group discussions to help understand the cultural context of the refugees and hosting communities
· Design and Illustration: Develop creative illustration of the referral pathway. The illustration should demonstrate understanding of the local culture.
· Script writing: develop the script for the booklet/comic book
· Translation: Translate all information materials to Nuer and Anuak Languages.
· Test the product with the community prior to printing.
