Job title: Cost Annalist
Accountable to: COO
Department: Accounting
Key Responsibilities:
Ø To assist in the setting up of a robust cost collection process to be able to adhere to new customer charging requirements using Target cost methodology.
Ø To collect, record, collate and report project costs accurately (including any required allocations) ensuring costs are accurate and recorded to the correct project codes and in a timely manner to ensure maximum billing opportunities.
Ø Will work closely with Commercial and Operations depts. to understand and assist in meeting company billing requirements and pro-actively monitor and address and missing data submissions
Ø To maintain organized and detailed reports and files to comply with any audit requirements or cost enquiries.
Ø Help with the monthly reporting packs for the management teams.
Ø To monitor any allocations for under or over recovery issues and assist in corrective actions.
Ø You will be required to assist with month end duties, including calculating & posting accruals and prepayments in particular a review of the sub contracted services accrual.
Ø To undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as required.
Ø To act in accordance with the company’s health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices.
Ø Comply with external reporting requirements including VAT, Intrastat & National Statistics

Previous experience of Financial & management accounting role § Computer literate both MRP package (Oracle) and MS Windows, proficient in Excel § Proficient in handling and modelling large volumes of data § Ability to work in ordered approach to ensure compliance to required deadlines for data reporting

Previous experience of working in the construction industry
Project reporting experience
Experience of any target costing environment
