Solidaridad Ethiopia country office was established and registered under the Foreign Charities Proclamation in the year 2015. Solidaridad Ethiopia is currently implementing initiatives in the cotton, textiles, leather and coffee industries in collaboration with the Ethiopian government and private sector.
Position Overview
Main objective of the function
The M&E officer is responsible for conducting data collection, analysis to support policy, decisions and actions of stakeholders. As an experience, driven and ambitious professional, the position requires a committed person to ensure that the various projects implemented in Ethiopia, have clear collection and management system and realistic measurement plans, based on smart and measurable performance indicators derived from the Theory of Change (result chain) methodology.
As M&E officer, your main responsibility is to ensure that internal measurement systems are up to date, data collection is coordinated with field staff and a clear baseline is developed and implemented for each project. In assisting the different commodity experts, you will work closely with all the teams (textiles, coffee, leather, cotton, dairy, gender) and support them in preparing annual reports and ensuring that progress of activities within agreed timelines.
Organizational position
The M&E officer reports to the Ethiopia Country Manager and works closely with the Country Program Team for alignment of procedures relating to result planning and reporting. S/he works closely with regional PMEL and ICT Innovation Managers in Nairobi and Global Data Management Analyst in Netherlands. S/he facilitates collection and dissemination of information from local to global level. S/he works for processes optimization in such a way that the quality of the service (data analysis) is guaranteed and the employees are permanently able to realize the objectives.
