You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the hotel’s marketing communications strategy, including advertising, promotions, public relations, graphics and collateral, so as to support the marketing objectives for the hotel and maximize the hotel’s positive exposure in local, national and international markets.
§ Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
§ Develop marketing materials for promotional events, property tours, and conferences.
§ Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps, price lists, or menus).
§ Refer requests for information from the media to an appropriate spokesperson or information source.
§ Prepare or edit letters, invitations, monthly and quarterly press reports, and news releases, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
§ Handle magazine photo shoots on property.
§ Support activities and initiatives to bolster the property's reputation and image in the media and in the community.
§ Make updates to property website by coordinating with appropriate others.
§ Support media relations outreach efforts, including pitching ideas and events, interview facilitation, and media tours.
§ Coordinate on-property visits from media.
§ Update digital library and press clippings as needed.
§ Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities.
Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Communications. Minimum 2 years work experience as Communications Manager or Assistant Marketing Communications Manager. Good problem solving, writing, administrative and PR skills are a must.
