SNV Ethiopia is looking for dynamic, experienced, talented, energetic, flexible, open and ready to learn candidates for the position of Human Resource officer at SNV country office.
The role
The successful appointee will have access to start-up resources and some ongoing support, and will be encouraged to apply for his/her own skills, knowledge and experience. The jobholder is responsible for all Human resource management cycle: recruitment and selections of employee/consultants; induction and orientation; record management and HRIS; administering the staff payroll; benefit administration; contract administration; and the establishment and maintenance of employees and consultants’ roster; and related assignments.
Key responsibilities
1) Recruitment and Selection , Facilitate recruitment processes, including facilitating in the development of job descriptions/terms of reference, vacancy announcements, screening of candidates, organisation of and participation in interview panels
2) Induction and orientation, Facilitate and process induction and exit procedures for staff and consultants.
3) Record management and Archiving/HRIS, Ensure all HR documentation and data in all aspects are managed in line with internal control procedures and corporate guidelines
4) Contract administration, process of selecting and contracting Staff and consultants’/LCBs’ according to agreed policies and procedures in support of and according to specifications given by the hiring manager
5) Payroll Administration, Major participation in the preparing and production of the monthly payroll,
6) Staff benefit and Administration
7) Training and Development, Support staff and line managers in identifying learning and development needs based on job. Analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultations. Compile and analyse learning and development needs
8) Performance management, Support implementation and management of performance management system of SNV Ethiopia, Ensure performance management results are appropriately documented and recorded in line with corporate guidelines.
9) Exit management/Debriefing: Facilitate and consolidate exit/debriefing for all leaver staff and provide consolidated report to the management.
10) Any other related assignments: All other personnel related and administrative functions in the department as periodically assigned and delegated.
The person
Applicants should possess BA (or equivalent) in HRM, Business Administration, Management and other related fields; with 3- 5 years of experiences in Human Resource Management functions.
