Job Summary
The HR Officer is responsible for HR workflows, entering employee data and making data changes in the HR Information System to ensure that data accuracy and integrity are maintained. Also responsible for managing physical HR and employee files and ensuring all documentation is secure and up to date. Responsible for handling basic employee administration processes and enquiries as well as resolving queries and issues and advising employees on HR policies and procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Biographical and organisational data for employees captured and maintained daily
Staff movements reconciled monthly
Time data administered and tracked
Documents filed in employee personal files daily and files secured
Monthly and ad hoc reports prepared for Management as well as certain State organisations
Employee queries, disciplinary and grievance issues processed daily, and records maintained
Employees counselled in policies and procedures and all other HR matters
HR services, such as guarding, cleaning and catering, monitored to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Admin support provided to the HR team in relation to recruitment, induction, training and development, performance management and other HR functions.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of a school leaving certificate with preferably a Diploma in Human Sciences or related discipline
3-5 years’ working experience in an HR administrative role, preferably in an FMCG and manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Excel (Advanced) and Word as well as relevant HR Information Systems
Working knowledge of Ethiopian Employment Law
