Project Implementation and management support
· Take the lead in project planning, and oversee implementation and budget expenditures to ensure effective use of resources against planned activities and expected outputs
· Ensure mobile protection and psychosocial support team undertakes all-inclusive protection monitoring, service mapping and referral pathways in Dollo Ado and Filtu Woredas.
· Coordinate the mobile team identification and response to community-level protection concerns, referral and response to individual protection cases, and cluster reporting.
· Ensure establishment of mobile children and women friendly inclusive safe spaces in IDPs to give the intended quality service to the internally displaced people.
Staff Management
· The project Manage will manage staff under his supervision day to day activities and give the required support to them.
· The PM will ensure flourishing team sprit among the staff members and conduct periodic general staff meeting.
· The PM will give technical supports to staff under her/his supervision and conduct periodic staff performance assessment as per the HI HR policy.
Coordination and Representation
· S/he will keep a good level of communication and leasing with partners operational in the camp.
· Represent HI in Liber zone and attend cluster meeting with all EHF fund scheme beneficiary NGOs in the area, Liben zone and Somali region Bureau of Disaster Prevention and Preparedness.
· Coordinate with other humanitarian actors to enhance the referral pathways aimed at providing holistic response to GBV, CP and health issues of person with disabilities in the camp.
Proper Documenting and record keeping
· Ensure proper documentation of the project and efficient use of project’s resources.
· Produce activity reports for each activity implemented and carry out regular recording and reporting of activities, field trips in coordination with other team members, including NRC ICLA team.
· Coordinate with protection team and local stakeholders to provide inputs for the periodical reports to be submit to the Operational Coordinator as required.
Develop resources and conduct capacity building/awareness-raising initiatives
· Development user-friendly awareness-raising IEC materials.
· Conduct stimulating and effective training and information sessions.
Maintain a high quality of work
· Maintain a high level of knowledge and skills in understanding needed responses to the IDPs and host community protection issues.
· Coordinate with partners (including NRC) to ensure the project and its activities comply with local laws and regulations, HI standards and donor requirements.
Responsible for implementing the safeguarding policies at project level
· Prepare work plans and implement safeguarding (Child Protection, Prevention of beneficiary Sexual Exploitation and Abuse [PSEA] activities.
· Respect and ensure compliance to the HI’s crucial safeguarding policies (protection of beneficiaries from sexual exploitation and abuse, child protection, anti-fraud and bribery and code of conduct).
Relationship management
· Work in cooperation and partnership with local government stakeholders to realize the project objectives.
· Create and maintain conducive working relationships with protection partners, Zone and Woreda Women & Children Affairs, DPO, Health, Justice, Education Offices, host communities, beneficiaries, project staff and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of the project activities.
Education: Master Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Child Development or other related field
Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in management and coordination of protection related project for IDPs or Refugees in Country
· Experience with managing teams and providing technical guidance both direct and remote management for flying team
· Good knowledge of child protection, sexual and gender based protection case management.
· Cultural and gender sensitivity, adaptability to project location.
· Knowledge of working area language (Somali) is a must.
