Background:
The Oromia Pastoralist Association (OPA) is a non-government and non-profit community-based organization, established in 2006 by pastoralist community representatives from Oromiya region. Among many other responsibilities, our association supports dispute resolution interventions with the aim of enabling peaceful coexistence amongst the pastoralist communities in Oromia and neighboring areas.
Since 2010, OPA has worked in close partnership with GIZ-Civil Peace service program on the transformation of local community disputes. Currently, the association is facilitating local interventions aimed at the peaceful resolution of land and resource conflicts through the promotion of inclusive and participatory dialogue structures that build trust and promote viable cooperation.
For smooth coordination of this program, OPA is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual for the position of National Peace Expert (NPE).
