Enforce, implement and manage the Safety, Health and Environmental Program, Procedures and Policies of the Factory, and maintain compliance to all Local and the Federal Government Safety, Health and Environmental regulations by Factory Manager and all Employees on every job site at all times.
Assist the Factory Manager, operational employees and Supervisors to evaluate potential safety risks and hazard prior to commencing work. Makes certain that safety is considered in every stage of operation and hazard management is incorporated in the plan and the schedule.
Work closely with supervisors, stack holders, suppliers and customer representatives to promote safe working condition on job sites.
Coordinate and help project team members to develop a site specific safety and health plan and Phased Safety Planning to be used in crew training, team building and the promotion of safety.
Ensure the company’s compliance with all environmental health and safety standards promulgated by all local, state, and federal agencies through enforcement and implementation of on-site inspection and monitoring programs.
Play a major role in eliminating personal injury to achieve the company’s objective of creating “injury free” operation.
Assist the Factory manager, Supervisors and shift leaders to establish individual responsibility for the safety program on each operation site that reaches all levels including the workforce.
Make frequent safety review of job sites and the staging area. Ensure weekly safety tool box meetings are conducted.
Work closely with the all the operation staff to make sure that the following items are maintained in the job trailers: Safety Posters, Emergency phone numbers, First Aid Kits, Fire Extinguishers with their strategic locations, safety Manual, the Company’s policy statement, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as needed.
Prepare and submit for the Corporate Safety, Health and Environmental Manager approval (if any) appropriate safety meeting agenda and conduct a weekly safety meeting with all company and any other stake holders.
Prepare and provide monthly Factory direct and indirect costs related to his / her services along with monthly Factory progress review report to the Factory Manager. Participate in discussion with the project team and take the necessary corrective action to control cost overrun and wasteful expenses in the project.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Factory Manager or Corporate Safety, Health and Environmental Manager.
Shall maintain current professional license to meet Industry and governmental regulations.
Job Requirement
BSc degree or Diploma in Environmental & Occupational Health Science or Public Health or Industrial Safety Management from recognized University
Minimum of 2/4 years experience for BSc & Diploma respectively preferably in food processing factory
