Background
Under the direct supervision of the RRF-E Programme Manager the successful candidate will work closely with implementing partners to support the Rapid Response Fund - Ethiopia (RRF-E) Unit in matters relating to monitoring and evaluation Shelter and Non-Food Items (S/NFI) activities in the Oromia and Somali regions of Ethiopia. In particular, he/she will:-
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Education
· University degree in Architecture, Public Administration, International Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences or related fields
Experience
· At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in the field of humanitarian work with a good understanding of USAID funded programs and other UN Partners;
· At least 2 years, experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in emergency context;
· Technical skills in qualitative and quantitative evaluation and managing heavy data;
· Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively and persuasively present information in a variety of settings and formats;
· Familiar with activity and grant reporting methods and information management systems;
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proven experience in Access, Excel and Power point
Languages
· Thorough knowledge of spoken and written English
· Knowledge of local languages like Somali and Oromiffa is an advantage.
