EngenderHealth seeks applications from experienced expert to serve as Regional Comprehensive Abortion Care Advisor for FMOH under A’ago project. The programme is part of a partnership between Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN) and Ethiopia FMoH, and aims to provide Technical Assistance and Capacity Building to private and public health facilities in Amhara, SNNPR, Oromia and Afar Regions to increase access to quality safe abortion and post abortion care services. This will be a local hire position financially supported by EngenderHealth/EKN with an anticipated start date of July 2019. Qualified women applicants are highly encouraged to apply. Position: Regional Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) Advisor

Reports to: Functionally to Regional Team Leader, Administratively to A’ago project Director
Duty Station: Hawassa, SNNP Regional Health Bureau (SNNPRHB)
Job Summary:
The Regional CAC Advisor will positioned at the respective regional bureau, under the maternal and child health case team and provides technical and programmatic support to the regional health bureau, MCH case team in areas of safe abortion and post abortion care services. S/he will work collaboratively with the A’ago team, EngenderHealth regional team, the regional health bureau team and other relevant partners in enhancing equitable access to high quality, efficient and effective CAC services. More specifically, the advisor provides technical assistance, including clinical expertise to the MCH case team leader other relevant teams in the region as it relates to CAC and post abortion family planning (PAFP) services. S/He will provide trainings; follow up of trainings, mentoring/coaching to maternal health experts and service providers.
