Job Summary:
Reporting to the A’ago Project Director in EngenderHealth Ethiopia office, the Private Sector Advisor will serve as a technical expert for the A’ago project to expand private health sector engagement in expanding access to quality SRH services, including FP and CAC services. S/he will lead the review of existing private sector strategies, agreements, plans and implementation and work closely with national and regional stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies and pilot innovative private sector activities. S/he will advise the A’ago project director, the regional health team leaders in EngenderHealth and other relevant departments to develop new programs based on international best practices and experience. S/he will also provide guidance and technical support to develop private sector governance and management tools to promote sustainability and institutionalization of interventions.
The Private Sector Advisor must possess a strong background in private sector engagement, with preferred experience working on health systems (LMIS, reporting, documentation and sharing of evidences), engaging with private health providers such as doctors and hospitals. The Advisor should have experience in high-level engagement and negotiation skills and demonstrated success in developing public-private partnerships. The position shall be based in Addis Ababa with frequent travel to the regions.
Candidates with experience in management of private sector medical practices (e.g. group practices, specialist clinics) or other ongoing business relationships with the health private sector are encouraged to apply.
