Following the MOU signed between ACPF and CCFC and with the aim of strengthening the partnership between the two organisations, CCFC is currently recruiting for a Senior Advocacy and Communications Officer that will operate from ACPF headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The incumbent will report to the Executive Director of ACPF and work closely and collaboratively with the ACPF technical team in the design and implementation of advocacy and communication strategies. The candidate will be the principal officer responsible for the development and implementation of a vigorous advocacy strategy that would promote a more child-friendly Africa and greater accountability among African governments for children in Africa. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional familiar with the world of advocacy and communications and with development and human rights issues in Africa.
In view of CCFC’s expanding engagement in Africa and the identity of interest, vision and mission of both CCFC and ACPF, the incumbent will be expected to enhance synergy, coherence and joint work by the two organisations. He/she will proactively seek and identify areas of work which they can carry out jointly to advance child rights and wellbeing and ensure that children and young people are heard and a part of the human rights and development agenda in Africa.
