Terms of Reference to outsource editing of video footage taken for Save the Children Norway supported operation woredas of Amhara and SNNPR regional states, Ethiopia.

Introduction:
Save the Children in Ethiopia, among other initiatives it undertakes, works on drought and education. With regard to education SCI has provided basic education to more than 200,000 children in Amahara and SNNPR regions with a focus on literacy and numeracy boost, DRR, WASH, Community Action, Improving quality of school learning environment and Capacity development.
Some of the major inputs of the project include construction of separate latrines, introducing ramps in front of toilets and classrooms, desks, water, renovation and creation of reading centers, provision of different reading materials, sanitary pads, and herders’ kit targeted 200,000 children with a total population of 400,000 indirect beneficiaries to improve learning outcomes.
To show achievements so far made a few case stories in a form short videos are drafted and it requires a professional edition and touch to be shared to the wider community.
Scope of the work:
The video editor selected for this work is expected to do post production edit of the raw footage that was different Save the Children in Ethiopia operation woredas of Amhara and SNNPR regional states, Ethiopia.
Expected deliverables:
The editor is expected to edit and produce two cut-cut story videos using the original video content that will be provided by Save the Children in Ethiopia. Each video cut-stories should not be more than a minute and half long. The videos should be produced in accordance with Save the Children branding.
The editor can get support from the communication teams to ensure desired outcome.
Time frame:
The first draft of the edited videos shall be submitted to Save the Children with in three days from the time of the agreement is signed. And final submission of the work, should not exceed more than one weeks from the time of agreement i.e. a total of seven days will be given for the editor to submit final work.
· Minimum of five years of experience working in film production;
· Extensive experience in producing development work related videos for international organizations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences;
· Excellent technical capacity to ensure smooth and high quality production (staff and video production equipment);
· Demonstrable script writing skills.
· Experience working with Save the Children is a plus.
