Training on Psychosocial Support and Employability Skills Trainings Targeting Project Beneficiaries and Selected Stakeholders
Project: Job Creation for Potential Migrants in Addis Ababa
Objectives of the Assignment
Overall Objective
The overall objective of this training is to enhance the technical and psychosocial readiness of our target beneficiaries (potential migrants and returnees) so as to increase their chance to be employed by private companies after securing their CoC certification and completion of apprenticeship. Simultaneously, the training will enable PES and TVET VGC staff to provide the necessary psychosocial and technical support to unemployed people in general and TVET graduates in particular.Specific Objectives
Ø To provide target beneficiaries (vulnerable youths and women) with the necessary psychosocial support and enhance their psychosocial stability;
Ø To improve capacity of project beneficiaries on employability skills, work ethics, discipline management, decent work, job interviews and CV preparation, gender mainstreaming, and related issues in order to facilitate their integration into the labour market.
Ø To enable beneficiaries (trainees) to be competent in the current labor market.
Ø To develop strong work ethics and work discipline management among project beneficiaries so as to improve the links between private companies and public TVET Colleges.
Ø Equip project beneficiaries (trainees) to understand about employment process, basic principles of organizational development, and private company’s expectations during job placement.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
Ø At least Master degree relevant to the training topics;
Ø Five years of work experience in preparation and provision of interactive training on topics related to psychosocial support for vulnerable youths and women, psychosocial stability, employability skills, with particular focus on CV preparation, job interviews, work ethics, discipline management, decent work, gender issues, and other related topics;
Ø Competent, committed and reliable trainer/s with ample experiences in conducting similar trainings ;
Ø Ability to provide samples and testimonials of previous similar trainings;
Ø Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English languages;
Ø Mix of different professionals (Diversity of training team members)
Ø Ability to incorporate client’s needs and deliver customized training for project beneficiaries and stakeholders.
