Green Way Farms PLC is seeking a high-performance individual to coordinate export operations to our customers across the world. This individual will shape the future of a young, environmentally and socially-conscious agribusiness in Ethiopia.
Green Way Farms produces and sources premium food products through a network of smallholder Partner Farms in Ethiopia. It connects produce grown by Ethiopian farmers as directly as possible to consumers in high value end markets. The company exports its premium, organic products primarily to the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands and the UK.

Mission of Role
To contribute to the growth of Green Way Farms in four key respects:
(1) Pack house liaison
● Communicate pre-orders with the pack house and confirm whether they can or cannot be filled
● Support the Sales Manager to ensure strong communication between the Sales team and pack house and production teams at all times
(2) Administration
● Prepare all export documentation required, in good time, for each export and ensure it is successful delivered to our freight forwarder
● Prepare all documentation required, in good time, for presenting our export earnings to the National Bank of Ethiopia
● Prepare all documentation required by the EU, in good time, for the import of organic food products
(3) Logistics
● Manage the day-to-day relationship with our freight forwarder, taking responsibility for documentation, export handling and temperature control
● Manage the day-to-day relationship with Ethiopian Airlines, taking responsibility for our successful air freight bookings and shipments
● Manage the day-to-day relationship with various freight forwarders around the world, who will clear our product and deliver it the final mile
(4) Sales Operations - areas for growth
● Depending on your ambition and proficiency, there will be space to learn about and work on other aspects of sales operations: pricing strategy, competitor analysis and international marketing. To be discussed at interview.
Required Qualifications
● Experience in handling complicated processes, which require an eye for detail
● A demonstrated ability to prioritise independently
● A commitment to growing Ethiopia’s international presence and trade
● An undergraduate degree from a top university, with strong grades
● Fluent English and Amharic reading, writing and spoken communication skills
● Competency using Excel; and excitement to learn the Google suite of tools (Slides, Docs, Sheets)

Location
This position is based in Addis Ababa. There will be some travel to Butajira, the home of our operations. Travel will be approximately once every three weeks, for two days, with expenses covered.
