The Ethiopian Economics Association is a professional association established in 1992 under Ethiopia’s Civil Society Law to offer the Association’s members a platform for networking and communication and keep them abreast of emerging national development discourse, and produce evidence based research and analysis on Ethiopian economy for government, development partners, businesses, researchers, and the general public. It is governed by the General Assembly, the Executive Committee and the Secretariat. Executive Committee provides a strategic guidance and approves the Secretariat financial and work plans. The Secretariat is led by a Chief Executive Officer who oversees the days to day functions of the Association including the Research and Analysis Team, Partnerships and Communications Team, and Finance and Administrative Support Team.
Job Summary: The Partnership and Communication Team is an integral function of the EEA and it is one of the three pillars of the Ethiopian Economics Association Secretariat. The position requires that the Team Leader closely coordinates and works with the Research and Analysis Team, and the Finance & Administrative Support Team. The Team Leader will communicate with members of the Ethiopian Economics Association, international and national partners including, federal and regional state governments, universities, civil society organizations, researchers, investors, business leaders, and the general public.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaise and communicate with members of the Ethiopian Economics Association, international and national partners, federal and regional state governments, universities, civil society organizations, researchers, investors, business leaders, and the general public on a regular basis;

Position Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education: Post-graduate degree in communications and related fields of studies
Experience: At least 10 years progressively responsible experience in partnerships and communications related to public sector management, development projects and/or operational aspects of national, bilateral or multilateral assistance programmes.
Language: proficiency in English, Amharic and knowledge of other national and international languages is an advantage.
Skills: Basic computer and interpersonal skills.
