The role holder provides onsite assessment of a sick or injured child’s needs. That information is relayed to the appropriate primary health care provider or emergency room as well as to the parents. S/he tracks each child’s medical records while they are enrolled. The nurse also maintains records of each child’s physical development. If the daycare center has children with special needs, the nurse supervises any accommodations necessary to serve those children. The daycare center nurse provides training to the nannies on daily child care activities such as sanitary diaper changing and proper hand washing procedures. She also monitors the facilities for health issues, nutrition and cleanliness.

Academic & Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Experience
At least two (2) years’ experience for B.Sc Degree or four (4) years experience for Diploma holders
Required Technical Competency
Strong understanding of medical practice;
Deal tactfully with others and to exercise good judgment in appraising situations;
Make independent and timely nursing decisions;
Effective communication skill
Interpersonal and problem solving skills;
Ability to interpret clinical data accurately is essential;
Eagerness to commit to the completion of tasks within an aggressive but realistic time frame is essential;
An understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and the collective agreement of the bank;
