Role Overview
Minister of Peace (MoP) is currently collaborating with First consult’s BRIDGES Programme, VSO and other relevant partners for successful delivery of the Government initiated National Voluntary Community Service Program which has the following objectives:
The program is aimed at mobilizing and engaging young people from all parts of the country in community volunteering service so as to realize the above-mentioned objectives. In order to enhance the success of the program, it is planned to equip the youth volunteers with the right knowledge and skills through six weeks intensive training activities. This Job advert is, therefore, to recruit 260 high caliber young people who facilitate the six weeks training program based on a well-developed training modules. The selected Facilitators will pass through a 2-weeks TOT training before deployment to the training facilitation role. As the program is expected to be implemented for consecutive years, there is a high chance for dedicated and qualified facilitators to be embraced in the program.
We believe this advertised role is an interesting opportunity for people who are willing and committed to contribute their share for enhancement of active youth engagement in community services. This is not a paid job but a volunteering opportunity to give back to the community we are part of. However, a modest amount of stipend will be given to support the living expense of volunteers.
