The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and provides assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, information counseling and legal assistance, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.
Role and responsibilities
The Emergency Response Team Leader will provide and surge capabilities to support the overall planning and implementation of the emergency response and disaster risk reduction ambitions of the Ethiopia Country Programme. She/he will contribute to the delivery of the emergency preparedness and response ambitions of Ethiopia country programme in a timely, efficient, effective and coherent manner.
She/he will be required to support the implementation of the emergency response project at field level, including providing advice, analytics and contributions to multi-sectoral emergency response operations at all level to ensure effective response.
