BACKGROUND: The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) associated with former President William J. Clinton’s Foundation is currently operating in Ethiopia carrying out a wide range of programs to support the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in improving the health status of the country by ensuring access and quality of health services. We are committed to increasing our effectiveness through an innovative programming approach that optimizes quality, impact, and scale. Being the largest CHAI field office worldwide, we currently employ around 100 people in the following 7 programs: The Ethiopian Hospital Management Initiative (EHMI), Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), Drug Access, Nutrition, Lab Services, Vaccines Introduction, and Global Health Financing.
CHAI is working with the Government of Ethiopia to roll out a program to drive rapid and substantial reductions in chronic malnutrition among Ethiopian children. Robust program monitoring and evaluation, including research, will be a key component of the initiative to ensure evidence based implementation and tracking of results. CHAI is seeking a seeking dynamic, highly motivated individual for a Date Entry Clerk position.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: The Data Entry Clerk is expected to maintain the project database by entering new and updated information, primarily from household surveys administered to caregiver and children. The Data Entry Clerk will need a high level of organization, self-motivation, and computer skills. Data collectors will be expected to be based in Addis Ababa, with limited travel in the Oromia and Amhara regions.
