Working with and reporting to the MSI Ethiopia Senior Asset Management Officer, Store keeper ensures the store management system efficient and effective in providing the necessary logistics and store management services; ensures safe custody and security, cost effective material handling system and timely delivery.
Detail Duties and responsibilities
Keep the store keys in safe condition and get permission before duplicating keys.
Receive materials incoming from outside and prepare goods receiving note, record and keep in appropriate file.
Issue materials against authorized store requisition and keep store issue voucher in appropriate file.
Control daily receipt and issue of item distribution of copies to appropriate sections.
Keep files of received and issued items from store.
Make sure all materials are stored in appropriate places away from rain, dust, pilferage and deterioration.
Monthly update the status of stores available in each centres and arranges proper inventory control and store management system.
Update bin card and control stock balance.
Prepare monthly stock report on the status of stock movement of support office and centres.
Control the arrangement of items in proper location ,shelf, code and group for easy retrieval up on needed
Make sure stock is arranged for easy physical count and stock taking.
Prepare purchase requisition to replenish materials on time in order to avoid stock out.
Keep optimum level of stock to avoid storage, insurance, and ordering costs.
Propose Disposal of damaged, obsolete, expired materials.
Participate and facilitate resources for annual physical inventory and regular stock takes.
Follow up and develop all fixed asset register and keep files signed by user for property under their custody.
Record newly received fixed assets and updates the record regularly.
Coordinate and supervise all activities of the stores.
Control the safety of the stores and report incidents on time.
Implement cost effective material handling system.
Ensure that warehouses are cleaned and stocks are secured.
Ensure that the correct systems and procedures are being followed by the user departments.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the General service Coordinator.
