The Junior Finance Officer will be responsible to ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with local laws, donor regulations, and internal policies; keep custody of petty cash and maintain cash register book; record transactions into Quick books; maintaining proper filing system; preparing and paying income and withholding taxes; follow up and ensure timely settlement of travel and work advances; update the status of bank balance; prepare petty cash payment voucher and facilitate payment; coordinate per diem and other workshop/training related payments; and liaison with banks to process CPO’s, drafts, collect bank statements and other documents as required/delegated. He/she will also be responsible to carry out assistance tasks such as ensuing that proper financial policies, procedures and systems are operated and maintained at the field office; budget and report preparation; checking all financial document of field office for completeness and proper expense authorization; preparing monthly expense report for central office; and coordination of year-end audit.
Job Requirement
Diploma in Accounting 4 years
Relevant work experience in the field of finance preferably in the NGO sector
Good knowledge of Microsoft office application software and knowledge of accounting software particularly QuickBooks is highly preferred.
Ability to effectively work in a team.
Good command of English.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
