The Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Popoli (CISP) (International Committee for the Development of People) is an international NGO established in 1983 in Rome, Italy and currently operating in 30 countries in various parts of the world. CISP has been operating in Ethiopia since 1986 through relief, rehabilitation and development projects. In collaboration with various local partners CISP is actively implementing projects in Ethiopia in the area of humanitarian assistance, agriculture, food security, livelihood, DRR, water and sanitation, education, income generating and other social development projects.
The EC/SHARE project, Building Resilience through Integrated Recovery Support to Drought Affected Communities in Oromia, Borena Zone will be implemented in 30 months and is funded by the European Union Delegation in Ethiopia. It is consortium project made up of CISP, GOAL and ACF. GOAL is the consortium lead. The overall objective of the project is to enhance the social and economic stability in the drought affected areas of Boerne zone through supporting the recovery of livelihoods of the affected population and building their resiliency.
JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder will be responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and review of the entire project activities at woreda level. S/he will be expected to work closely with the target communities; the project team, area offices and respective operational district and zonal level stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for the timely implementation of all the planned project activities as per the approved project document; and government and donor requirements and CISP standards.

Job Requirement
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the position, applicants should have Diploma or BSc/BA Degree in natural resources management/animal science, dry land agriculture, agro-engineering, DRM; At least 3 years relevant project coordination experience in NGOs or similar organization; Good and technical knowledge of theory and practice in the related fields above mentioned; Proven analytical and strategic planning skills; Experience in developing and monitoring budgets; Good computer literate in word processing and excel packages, ability to write concise and precise report; An understanding of DRR and Drought resilience concepts. Knowledge of the area and region where the post is located; Knowledge of local language (Borena); Experience of implementing donor (s) funded projects or programs; Proven team and personnel management experiences.
