JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Head of Communications and Campaigns, Events and Visitors Administrative Officer will be expected to assume responsibility for the provision of high quality administrative support to the Communications and campaigns team. The position holder will be in charge of coordinating all the services and equipment needed for an event including venue, transportation, hotel reservations, event registration, room set up, electrical, lighting, presentation equipment and catering; arrange a briefing session for the visitors on arrival with relevant staff including senior management team and maintain updated guest list for the Country Office. The incumbent will be expected to develop and maintain information management and communication systems and processes to ensure plans and progress are captured, shared and stored effectively. Moreover, the position holder will be responsible to promote a culture of pro-activeness and responsiveness to visitors request from member countries and to provide a vibrant learning and advocacy platform for the country programme.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the post, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Social Sciences or Administration with a minimum of 3 years experience in administration in similar organisation i.e. INGO/NGO. S/he needs to have a highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching; highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Applicants should have strong result orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets; strong organisational and communication management skills, with a commitment to provide excellent support to all staff. S/he should have the ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner; should have the ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies. Moreover, s/he should be fluent in Amharic, and English (both verbal and written)
