VSO promotes volunteering to fight global poverty and disadvantage. We bring people together to share skills, creativity and learning to build a fairer world. Volunteers are recruited through various recruitment partners based in different parts of the world including the UK, Kenya, Uganda, The Philipines, Ireland. These professional volunteers work in partnership with Ethiopian colleagues and communities to share skills and learning and achieve positive change together.
PURPOSE AND MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES
Job Purpose:
Ensure that the all VSO E programs have an appropriate and functional M and E system in place, and ensure that the right information is collected, analyzed, communicated to the program and project managers and reported to donor on timely manner.
Define a communications strategy for VSO Ethiopia, which includes online and print communications, and lead on implementing it.
Major Responsibilites:
The implementation of the VSO Global M+E Frameworks in VSO Ethiopia programs
Provision of leadership and support to Program/Project Manager to ensure evidence based planning, monitoring , evaluation and knowledge management are embedded in all programs/projects
Provision of leadership and support to Program/Project Managers to identify evidence based case studies to foster learning and future planning
Develop/strengthen communication strategies to ensure timely sharing of successes to appropriate audiences and raise the profile of VSO
Support Annual Partnership Review Processes and ensure quality of reports
Provide training to staff, Volunteers and partner organization on data collection , analysis , information use and reporting
Develop database and capture project achievements both qualitatively and quantitatively and communicate to the project and program mangers regularly for timely decision making
Supporting project managers in developing Volunteer/ project reporting templates appropriate for specific project.
Preparation of periodic project/program review reports
Developing ToRs, coordinating survey studies, documentation of good practices, etc.
