Job Purpose Summary
To implement the Youth Education Pack, Accelerated Learning and Education in Emergency with special focus on condensing the curriculum to suit age and time frame as per the designed Education strategy for Gambella
Key Responsibilities
Control of equipment and supplies:
• Responsible for the daily management and coordination of training/learning Centers Activities effectively.
• Responsible for collecting and registering daily records/statistics at the centers
• Responsible for security and logistic issues at the centre, including safekeeping and records of all tools and materials at the centers Prepare lists of items that need to be ordered.
• Ensure that the specific stationary required for training or/and workshops is available for workshop facilitator/trainer to collect.
• Responsible for the attendance of the center administrators, teachers/trainers at the centers.
• Responsible for the continuous supervision of teaching methodology and initiate in-service training of teachers and center administrators, teachers and trainers.
• Responsible for information to and cooperation with the community and relevant authorities
• Responsible for coordination with other Centers in cooperation with the training/learning centers’ staff
• Responsible for daily supervision of the training/learning centers’ support staff.
• Writing compiling weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Ensure that events or workshop venues are booked and that the necessary catering and stationary is available.
• Ensure that the lists of project supplies are regularly updated and receives appropriate follow up.
• Support and stand in for the Centre Administrators/School Directors
• Prepare and distribute agenda.
• Take minutes at internal staff team meetings and distribute minutes to relevant people within required time.
Qualifications and Competences
Academic and Professional Qualifications
• University degree in education, sociology, business administration, and related field
Relevant Experience
• Good understanding of community development and gender, education issues and/or training skills.
• Familiarity of background from Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) programs is a plus.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic (optional).
• Excellent communication skills, flexible, readily adaptable to new educational methods and approaches.
• Ability to leave in difficult conditions.
