Position: CWI/GBV Response Officer

Salary & benefits – 11,072.00 –12,207.00 ETB /month, based on the candidate’s qualification, experience and previous earning history, plus 35% of hardship allowance with 27% Provident Fund & Pension employer/employee contribution.

SUMMARY STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summary Statement of Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Camp and Program Managers, the GBV Response Officer is responsible to carry out all GBV response related activities of the Community Wellbeing Initiative (CWI) program.
Detailed Responsibilities:
• Participate on program planning, identify major GBV related gaps/intervention areas and propose for funding
• Conduct grass root level assessments on causes and consequences of GBV and closely work with prevention officer to raise community’s awareness
• Manage, monitor & supervise GBV related cases
• Capacitate social workers to provide quality case management services
• Build a relationship with all relevant GBV program stakeholders (health, legal, protection, psychosocial) in the camp and in the local community to encourage greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners from protection, health, legal, and psychosocial wings
• Carry out monthly coordination meetings and case meetings
• Enhance participation of Women and Girls in the Women’s and Girls’ Wellness Center (WGWC).
• Prepare DMS incident record and timely submit to CWI manager
• Develop monthly and weekly outreach plans for social workers
• Monitor supply and logistical needs of the program and ensure adherence to all relevant IRC logistic policies
• Critically identify areas of integration with other sectors of the IRC (Sanitation, Health and Water program) so that to maximize beneficiaries satisfaction
Job Requirements:
Required
• BA Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Public Health and related from recognized university/college and minimum of four years relevant experience in the field
• Ability to communicate in English and local languages Ability to use MS office applications very well
• Knowledge counseling is advantageous
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details.
• Knowledge Tigrigna languages is advantageous
