Purpose of the Job
• Ensure the innovative and effective use of ICT resources in Plan’s work at the Program Area.
Typical Responsibilities
• Provides first line support, network and systems administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of corporate applications; to ensure ICT operations at the PU continue smoothly. Indicators for success are properly installed and maintained ICT systems and ICT Infrastructure.
• Prepares ICT4D plan for PU to integrate Plan ICT4D strategy into program implementation. Indicator for success is that ICT is integrated into PA programs implementation.
• Participates in new ICT Systems Project Rollout, testing and certification to improve accessibility of Plan ICT infrastructure to users in the PA. Indicators for success are ICT system rollout is smooth and staff members are proficient in using any new systems.
• Ensures Plan ICT policy, procedures and guidelines are implemented effectively to protect Plan from legal liability, protect PU staff from ICT security threats and prevent fraudulent activities by PA staff. Indicators for success are properly implemented ICT procedures and guidelines at PA level.
• Ensures efficient utilization of ICT Infrastructure to reduce wastage and to ensure return on investment of ICT resources. Indicators for success are ICT SLA targets are met.
• Timely ICT disaster recovery to ensure PA ICT business continuity. Indicator of success is that ICT systems uptime is 99%.
• Ensures adherence to corporate standards. Indicators for success are the proper implementation and use of PA computers and network devices.
• Completes a monthly Network security implementation and performance report, ICT systems management report and quarterly hardware and software report for monitoring ICT security incidents, systems utilization and hardware and software usage in the PA. An indicator for success is monthly and quarterly reports submitted to ICTM on time.
• Works closely with PA management team on the PA’s business priorities to make ICT an effective strategic enabler for the implementation of PALTP.
