USAID’s/Agricultural Growth Program-Livestock Market Development Project
Introduction CNFA is an international development firm based in Washington, D.C. dedicated to stimulating sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. CNFA specializes in fostering private sector investment as a means to increase the overall competitiveness of agricultural value chains, expand exports and develop skills in the rural workforce. By generating higher incomes for farmers, processors, entrepreneurs and distributors, CNFA helps improve livelihoods and reduce poverty.
CNFA, with a consortium of international and national partners, is currently implementing a five year United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Agricultural Growth Program-Livestock Market Development Project (AGP-LMD). Started on September 17, 2012, the project will run through September 30, 2017. The Project will foster growth and reduce poverty through improving the productivity and competitiveness of selected livestock value chains: meat/live animals, hides/skins/leather, and dairy. The program will operate in AGP targeted Woredas of Oromia, Amhara, Tigray, and SNNPR, to the benefit of thousands of smallholder livestock producers.
Job nature cleaning/messenger for AGP-LMD provides clean office environment to its Country Office Program in Ethiopia. In order to successfully do so, Cleaner/messenger must be able to demonstrate quality of commitment and integrity that that serves as an example to others.
Major Responsibilities:
Clean furniture’s in the office, the floor, corridor and bathrooms
Spray different medicine in the office and bathrooms every time
Dispose the dirt on a given place in a manner that will not harm the environment.
Finish the cleaning action before official working time.
During cleaning the office to cheek papers, which she/he gets, if it has Use or no use.
Prepare coffee and tea for the staff
Copy, bind and scan documents when asked by staffs
Perform other cleaning work and to do other relative works which are given by the supervisor
Job Requirement
Must be a mature, respectful and honest person of high integrity that is able to work in a team and make meaningful contributions to the team objective.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to abrupt changes assignment at short notices.
Must be physically fit, healthy, sober, neat and presentable; preferably aged between 25 and 35 years.
Basic knowledge and skill in minor reading & writing
Good verbal communication in the English language.
Should demonstrate respect for culture, religion, and rights of AGP-LMD staff, the target and beneficiary communities and partners; as well as ability to work in a multicultural setting.
Should be quick in understanding, keen in taking instructions, and able to work with minimum supervision.
Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her by the immediate supervisor.
Academic qualifications, Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Minimum of Secondary school education is preferred.
Should have a minimum of three (2) years of experience.
Flexibility and ability to stand in for others when required to do so is necessary.
Good inter-personal, communication (English and Amharic reading and spoken) preferred.
