SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a national member association to the International Federation of SOS Children’s Villages. It is non- political, not-for-profit, and non-religious social development organization focused on the wellbeing and development of children. It was founded in 1974 and has been a development partner since then with positive outcomes in the lives of many children, families and communities.
The SOS Children’s Village Program in Bahir Dar is looking for a competent and able Project Administrator that meets the requirements stated bellow.

Position Summary
Under the overall supervision of the Village Director, the Project Administrator is responsible for handling all personnel and administrative issues including employee recruitment, employee contract administration, employee benefit handling, employee leave, staff motivation and database administration. In addition, the job incumbent is responsible for general services activities at the Program Location.
General aim of the position
• Ensures complete employment documentation is retained at Program Location.
• Ascertains all employees get contracts on time and their contracts are renewed and administered in time.
• Plans and prepares budgetary requirements of human resource, equipment, materials, maintenance of property and general services
• Ensures all employee benefits are handled on time, in a consistent and uniform manner.
Priority tasks & responsibilities
• Organizes and facilitates recruitment and selection activities as per the organization’s standards.
• Ensures all newly recruited employees have complete documentations and they get their employment letters on time.
• Welcomes newly recruited staff and conducts a proper orientation and induction process.
• Ensures all newly recruited employees performance appraisals are conducted on time and end of probation period decisions are taken and exercised on time.
• Orient, familiarize and advise project facility leaders on human resources and administrative issues.
• Organizes and coordinates staff training and orientation programs.
• Ensures all Co-workers annual leaves are properly planned and are taken as planned before the budget year.
• Handles co-workers grievance in accordance with the rules and regulations of the organizations.
• Makes sure that employee benefits are handled uniformly consistently and in a just manner.
• Prepares employees end benefit, compensation and other exit benefits.
• Processes and administers decisions of promotion, transfer, leave, disciplinary measures and other staff decisions as per the policies and procedures thereon.
• Organizes and coordinates the efficient provision of office services, transport and other general services to functional units and staff.
• Keeps proper and updated records of assets of the Program and ensures proper custody and security of assets of the Program.
• Ensures/controls the optimal and proper use of organizational resource, people, materials, vehicles, etc.
• Ensures that license and other required government formalities are fulfilled on time by the program.
• Follows-up the timely dispatch of reports to National Office HR/OD department and concerned government institutions.
