Ensure logistics activities in warehouse and distribution are in a cost efficient and effective manner.
Manage/translate business requirements from business units to operations procedure and deliver the services required by different business units.
Monitor performance in warehouse and distribution and identify any area for improvement.
Evaluate project feasibility and suggest viable options.
Identify cost saving, service enhancement and process improvement initiatives.
Work in logistics related projects and liaise cross-functional teams in planning and implementation.
Be a super-user in managing warehouse operations module at ERP system and actively engaged in any process or system re-engineering initiatives.
Contract & price negotiation and formation.
Achieve best cost & quality and price performance ratio.
Establish & retain a good relationship with suppliers.
Manage the assigned sourcing programs from the enquiry stage up to order placement stage.
Handle purchase requests from supplier selection, evaluation up to qualification.
Ongoing projects review and development.
Prepare periodic sourcing analytical reports as required.
Technical project development and management.
Supervise handling of sampling, purchase orders and enquiries.
Job Requirement
Education background: Bachelor Degree or above in Business/Purchasing/Logistic/Procurement. Work experience: 1. 5 years' varied experience in similar position Technical skills: Experience monitoring field performance and optimization Key Competency: 1. Self motivated; 2. Energetic, mature, independent and able to handle multi tasks and work under pressure; 3. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with multi-discipline exploration team members is required; 4. Ability to perform analysis, interpretation and problem solving at all levels of complexity with varying volumes of data is required; 5. Strong oral and written skills in Amharic and English. 6. Demonstrates high personal and professional integrity.
