Major Duties of the IT Manager
Evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs;
Planning, developing and implementing the ICT budget to ensure cost effectiveness;
Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
Researching and installing new systems;
Guaranteeing the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision;
Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to;
Providing secure access to the network for remote users;
Securing data from internal and external attack;
Provide users appropriate support, training and advice;
Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
Responsible for IT infrastructure, including all CNFA system ,tools and technical processes
Advice on manage the contract and procurement of any out sourced service for IT, web and telecommunications and act as the main point of contact. Working with suppliers to ensure that the technical needs of the organization are met now and in the future and that coast are managed to ensure value for money
Ensuring that all on-sit backups are taken regularly and are stored properly
Ensuring that there is robust IT support (help desk) in AGP-LMD office that will support the technical need of staff and provide remote services for staff in field work
Job Requirement
Academic qualifications, Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Minimum of BA degree in related field and Masters degree is preferred.
NGO experience specially USAID funded programs
Flexibility and ability to stand in for others when required to do so is necessary.
Good inter-personal, communication (English and Amharic-written and spoken) is mandatory.
