The Logistics Manager is responsible for overall logistics coordination of the Humanitarian and Emergency responses in Gambela Field Office in ensuring timely delivery of supplies and services to affected population; Donor and SCI (save the Children International) policies, procedures and guidelines on logistics are adhered; and provide necessary technical and professional supports to program / project heads on logistics related matters as well as assessing capacity gaps, and provide trainings for Logistics team. S/He is expected to ensure Humanitarian emergency supplies and services are timely procured and delivered to the region on priority level. The incumbent will establish a standard Logistics management system and ensure that all are integrated under the logistics structure. Moreover, the position holder is responsible to carrying out compliance and capacity assessments of field logistics team; and develops action plans with the programmes to implement the policies and provide training on logistics policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for the post applicant must have First Degree in Managment or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in overall co-ordination of Logistics in Emergency settings. S/He must have experience in working with large institutional donors and being familiar with their rules and regulations; experience providing practical and technical logistics support as well as capacity building to Programme teams in the form of programme planning and preparation and management of budgets. The incumbent must be able to manage a complex and varied workload, perform to tight deadlines, and first-rate planning, people and time-management skills. Applicant must be willing to work in remote and insecure locations; excellent inter-personal and team skills.
