JOB SUMMARY: The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the SC programs around child protection within the Refugee Camp, ensuring the protection of children and mainstreaming of child protection issues within the community. S/he will have a key role in coordinating and supervising child protection related activities and responses in coordination with SC partners. S/he will also be in charge of organizing trainings for teachers, youth groups, care takers and community workers on child care, protection, and development. The officer will represent the SC ECCD team/program in inter-program meetings and interagency meetings at camp level.
Job Requirement
To be considered for the post, applicants must have bachelor’s degree in sociology, education or relevant fields with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. S/he should also have experience working in refugee station in the area of child protection; needs to have highly developed verbal and communication skills including fluency in English; and demonstrable relationship building and interpersonal skill with strong time management and organizational skills. S/he must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; and needs to be computer literate. Good teamwork skills are a must.
