The procurement officer will be responsible to make available goods and services through purchasing, rent, lease, and hire for all Ethiopia country offices and advise staff members on various procurement issues. As part of the assignment, the incumbent will also be responsible to maintain data base and proper documentation on procurement; maintains and updates suppliers list & be responsible for the management and coordination of logistics and prepares vehicle operation and maintenance annual budget. S/he will is expected to ensure that all vehicles are covered under the proper insurance policy and annual inspection is carried out on time; manages vehicles data base, and be responsible for the planning and implementing preventive maintenance.
Job Requirement
to be considered to the post applicant must have BA or Diploma in procurement & Supplies Management or Marketing and six years of relevant experience or Bachelor degree with three years of experience in relevant work preferably in the area of procurement or logistics management in an international organization setting. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are essential. Moreover, proven integrity, team work orientation and self-initiation are key values required for this position. The job requires strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access is mandatory. Knowledge of local language is added value.
