Job Description: ETAB soap and Detergent Industry is the sole privately-owned specialty manufacturer of soap and detergents in Hawassa with regard to technology, capacity and quality. The industry initially existed in 1993 E.C. as a small cottage industry at Hawassa town. Based on favorable industrial development policy of the country, its present existence at Hawassa industry zone began in 1997 E.C. The main line of the factory is laundry soaps in several grades and versions, toilet soaps, powder soaps and detergents. It is designed to meet soaps and detergents needs of organizations and individual homes all over the country. Position Overview The Industrial technology department manager reports to the general manager of the factory and expected to plan, organize, lead, coordinate and control different technical and mechanical activities of the factory. He/she is expected to manage the overall maintenance of the factory machinery and mechanical systems. Moreover that, His/her duties include:
Conducting research activities and innovations.
Leading, controlling and evaluating the performance of its department workers.
Planning weekly and monthly mechanical and electrical maintenances.
Controls and manages the electric power and water supply lines of the factory.
Introducing new technologies to increase the efficiency of production capacity.
Controls the proper functions of different machineries of the factory.
Job Requirement
Education and Experience:
MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related fields from accredited university.
A minimum of 6 years relevant experience out of which 2 years in managerial position is required for MA holders.
A minimum of 8 years relevant experience out of which 3 years in managerial position is required for BSc holders.
Preferable if engaged in factories
