ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Manage communication and public relations with diverse stakeholders, including:
‒ Plan, develop and implement communication strategies
‒ Liaise with and answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations
‒ Generate relevant promotional material and prepare events to create awareness on the National Framework and foster interest for investment
• Act as a point of contact for development partners, donors, international financial institutions and investors to the overall initiative
• Drive resource mobilization to support the implementation of the National Framework
‒ Create awareness of the range of instruments and investments available to current and/or prospective investors and development partners to fund ACC activities
‒ Developing a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, targets, and plan to meet these targets
‒ Maximize the engagement of existing partners and investors, and increase the size of funding / investment and technical support
‒ Facilitate generation and implementation of investment and technical support strategies from stakeholders, in conjunction with other key institutions and actors
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Agribusiness, Business / Management, Finance, Operations, Agricultural Economics, Economics or other relevant fields
• At least 5 years professional experience in communication, public relations and relationship management, and resource mobilization, with international investors and development partners, preferably with a focus on agricultural or agribusiness development
• Preferably a strong network amongst companies active in agribusiness and related sectors with investment interest in East Africa
• Excellent stakeholder management skills including thorough knowledge and understanding of various regional level and federal level institutions; extensive experience in facilitating dialogue with relevant public, private and development sector stakeholders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with highly collaborative working style
• Experience in working within multi-cultural teams preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and Amharic required; fluency in regional languages preferred
• Strong set of personal values including integrity, honesty and desire to be of service
