Market Research Officer
Job Summary
The incumbent should be able to identify market opportunities, industry competitiveness and degree of attractiveness, and trends. S/he identifies and evaluates market segments and targets. Conducts demand analysis and sales forecast. Does product testing, brand valuation, and analyzes consumers’ needs, preferences, behaviors and buying process. Gathers information about competitors’ performances, strength and weaknesses, prices structure, core competencies/capacities, and future objectives. Does surveys and monitors customers/consumers motivations, perceptions, satisfactions, complaints, and brand loyalty about the products and packages/label of the company. Conducts prices structure, and product availability surveys across each trade channel and geographic areas/market. Assists in conducting sales and marketing audit of the company.
Education
• A minimum of first degree in Economics, Management, Marketing or statistics from a recognized university.
Experience
• A minimum of three years experience as market analysis/expert in fast moving consumers goods (FMCGs)
Essential Skill
• Computer skills such as excel, and power point
• Data analysis skills using SPSS or other software
• Analytical ability
