Duty base: Addis Ababa, with frequent in country travel
Salary: Above 30,000 birr with very attractive benefit package

The successful candidate will lead the organization’s Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) function including the development of HROD strategy, systems and processes that address the strategic needs of the business. She/he will be responsible for the development and ensuring implementation of HROD practices and objectives that will enable a high performance culture; the recruitment and ongoing development of effective workforce and systems, as well as the development and implementation of programs to align work force and key business initiatives through use of organizational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and implementation of HROD country strategy as aligned to the AAE Country Strategy;
• Develop, implement, interpret and revise as necessary HR/OD policies, procedures and systems;
• Provide strategic HR and OD support to programme, partners and other support teams across the organization;
• Design effective and efficient HROD processes, systems and practices that support key staff acquisition, retention, and Performance culture.
• Initiate, catalyze and manage desired organizational learning, change and transformation processes;
• Contribute to strategic decision making through the Country Management Team and identify HR/OD-related knowledge needs for ActionAid International Ethiopia and its partners, coordinate the generation, storage and access to knowledge in line with the AAE Strategy.
