Summary: The Ethiopia Health Infrastructure Program (EHIP) is a USAID-funded program that will construct, renovate, and refurbish health centers and medical warehouses throughout Ethiopia. EHIP seeks a Procurement Engineer to oversee, coordinate administrative and engineering procurement services to the IRD office in Addis Ababa, and any future field offices as dictated by task orders.
Essential Job Functions:
Procurement
Preparing procurement request and payment request processing
Collects Performa-invoice in coordination with the subcontractors
Checking every vendor legal documents and running trough WWW.SAM.gov
Prepare PO;
Sample collection and forwarding to the QC
Assisting collection, loading and transportation purchased items in collaboration with the sub contractor/s
Checking every material meets specification standards
Prior to purchasing making sure all materials comply with approved material
Assessing the market to check that adequate stock of the material is available
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirement
Required Skills & Experience:
University degree in Engineering.
He / She should have an overall work experience of 0 to 2 years.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
High-level proficiency in written and spoken English and Amharic.
Good knowledge of word processing (MS Office); proven training skills.
