To manage the overall human resource function including recruitment, selection, performance management, training and development, and succession planning to help achieve the mission and objectives of the Company through maintaining committed, motivated and skilled work force. As Executive Team member, the HRM is expected to jointly be responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational targets and overall business aims.
Essential duties and responsibilities Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Manages and provides inspirational leadership to the human resources team
Creates a strategic approach to HR management resulting in an effective delivery
Provide expert professional advice reflecting the Company’s desire to be an employer of choice
Develops and implements new human resources strategy, policies, practices and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the Company.
Oversees recruitment and placement
Recommends guidelines on promotion and placement of staff.
Develops staff development and career support plans to ensure that they are consistent with the overall Company’s goals, policies on staff development and career support
Establishes performance management system and supports supervisors and staff with understanding and using the system.
Assesses training needs, identifies, designs and delivers training programs to staff at all levels throughout the Company.
Supervises and monitors the work of the human resources officers in undertaking the full range of human resource management activities.
Develop and manage compensation and benefits policies.
Ensure all human resources activities are in compliance with legal requirements.
Required competencies
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of Ethiopian Labor laws, legal codes, government regulations pertaining to labor and human resource management.
Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

Job Requirement
Required education and experience
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in human resources management, business or public administration, or related field
A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management
At least 4 years of experience as a Human Resources Manager in business sector
Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
