CAFOD, SCIAF and Trόcaire (CST) represent the official development agencies of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland. In Ethiopia, the three agencies work jointly to address the poverty alleviation and humanitarian crisis through our local, international NGOs and the catholic church of Ethiopia.
CAFOD (on behalf of CAFOD, SCIAF and Trocaire) is implementing a three year Humanitarian Capacity Building Project- Shifting the Power through Developing the Capacity of Local Organization and currently looking for an Ethiopian citizen for the position of Project Coordinator based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Project Coordinator will report to Senior Programme Officer- Humanitarian and matrix managed by International Project Manager.
Job Purpose
Lead and manage ‘Shifting the Power through Developing the Capacity of Local Organisations’ project.
Build-up effective coordination and collaboration within consortium member organizations
Work with a small number of selected humanitarian partners to identify their capacity development priorities and develop capacity Development plans.
Maintain coordination with relevant stakeholders i.e. government, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs etc. and strengthen functional relationship to build a transformational model of strengthening the capacity of local organisations to realise their full potential to determine and deliver effective emergency responses and shape the humanitarian system.

Demonstrated experience working in a partnership led NGO
Fluency in written and spoken English is critical
Strong coordination and project management skills
Demonstrated experience of organisational capacity building and use of Participatory tool
Demonstrated experience in managing complex budgets.
Demonstrated experience of mainstreaming including HIV, gender and accountability
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project management, coordination, or capacity building initiative
Minimum first degree in relevant development and social science field
