In Ethiopia, CRS has a long and rich history of providing emergency relief and development assistance to the people of Ethiopia since 1958. At present, CRS/Ethiopia implements multiple projects through different partner organizations. CRS/Ethiopia has a highly diverse portfolio ranging from very large food-supported emergency response to cutting edge development programs. The current CRS/Ethiopia budget stands at $100 million with funding from the U.S. Government, UN agencies, private foundations, individual donors, and CRS private funds.

Position Title: Commodity Accounts Clerk Duty Station: Adama Employment term: Indefinite period contingent upon funding of the JEOP and DFAP programs Reports To: Commodity and Finance Officer
Purpose, key /specific duties and responsibilities: As a Commodity Accounts Clerk, you will:
Assist in posting and recording commodities in the Ledger and stock cards:
Track/compile daily commodity receipts & dispatches, and assist in preparing, periodical commodity reports.
Assist Warehouse Keepers and Commodity Accountants closely for smooth flow of information and documents;

Candidate’s profile:
Minimum education and work experience:
Completion of TVET/ (10+2) Certificate or College Diploma in relevant field, and 3 years of relevant experience.
Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill:
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Knowledge of CRS/ET’s financial and accounting policies and procedures
Ability to post and record commodities transaction on appropriate ledgers and stock cards
Ability to proof read and verify posted data
Skill in the use of computers and peripherals
